NURSE'S OFFICE

Open on school days from 8:00 am - 3:35 pm

The school nurse helps to maintain, improve and promote the health of students by providing the following services:

  • Assessment and management of sick student and staff ((Injuries, first aid, faculty/staff health education)
  • Athletics (respond to injuries after school during on-campus practice and games), medical verification of eligibility/sports clearance.
  • Collaboration with other school staff regarding student needs and referrals
  • Health education/counseling
  • Healthy Families/Medi-Cal referral
  • Homeless student support
  • IEP reports/nursing assessments
  • Maintain school health records, medication administration, manage medical conditions (diabetes, seizures, tube feedings, catheterizations, suctioning per physician orders), provide sport physicals, medical assessment and support of Special Education students and others with health problems impacting academic success, provide dental, vision and hearing screening and referrals.
  • Meet with students to address health and mental health needs
  • Monitor attendance and communicate with appropriate supports
  • Monitor immunization status of students, refer to clinic to for administration of missing immunizations
  • Pregnant minor program support
  • Referrals for follow up care (medical, dental and behavioral health, substance abuse)
  • Social Service Referrals
  • Special Education assessments
  • Sports physicals
  • Vision, dental and hearing screening and referrals

SAN YSIDRO SCHOOL -BASED HEALTH CLINIC

Open on school days from 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Lincoln High School partners with San Ysidro Health to bring care to the school setting at no cost. Located in the Health Office Monday-Friday 8:30am - 11:30am daily. Please contact School Nurse for a referral or questions.

The Wellness Center helps to coordinate and connect students to community partners including:
