The Newcomer Welcome Center is committed to compassionately guiding students and families in their educational journeys and connecting them to people, programs, and resources necessary for lifelong success. We strive to ensure that everyone feels a deep sense of belonging, develops the skills and confidence to achieve personal fulfillment, and is empowered to contribute to the vibrancy of our community.

About:

The Newcomer Welcome Center is located in Room 652 and supports students and their families who have recently arrived in the United States.  The Newcomer Welcome Center is a place where new students and their families can learn about the district's resources, programs, and opportunities. It’s a welcoming space where families can share their cultures, backgrounds, and goals. The center creates a friendly and supportive environment to help every new student feel important and ready to succeed in school.  The center is open every Thursday from 8:30am-3:30pm and provides the following services:

  • Enrollment Support
  • School Orientation
  • Academic Guidance
  • Mental Health Support
  • Basic Needs and Housing Resources
  • Connections to Community Agencies
  • Transportation
  • Interpretation

To schedule an appointment, click here and select any available time on Thursdays for Lincoln High School.  If you have difficulty getting to Lincoln High School we can provide transportation to our center or you can make a site based appointment by submitting this form and we will meet you at any school site across our District.

Meet our Team:

Our multilingual team speaks seven languages and consists of an instructional coordinator, a counselor, resource teachers, and family services assistants.
