Musicians Wanted!!!

If you have musical talents, or desire to build musical talents, come join one of Lincoln's music classes!

This academic year, Lincoln is offering Band and Choir.

Band: Band class consists of learning how to read and perform music on musical instruments. In band, students will learn; basic musical rudiments, instrument specific techniques, basic music theory, basic music history, and performance techniques. Band class provides students with the opportunity to learn how to become self-motivating, collaborative, goal oriented, and self-regimented. Further, band is a means of gaining tangible self-esteem, through successful performances for the community.

This year, students from Lincoln's Band, chose to take on the challenge of rebuilding the Lincoln Drumline. This challenge has been a struggle, though through the student's dedication, and with the help from Lincoln Alumni, the Drumline is back! The majority of the students performing in the Drumline are new to percussion. Each student chose one of the marching percussion instruments to learn, and now, many of these students have learned how to play all of the Drumline instruments.

Furthermore, students from band class are also continuing their study and practice of their primary melodic instruments, and are preparing to choose music for concert season!
